Departure Delayed

We had been scheduled to depart for Africa today (12/14/10). We have rescheduled for 1/4/11.

Wayne severly injured three fingers on his left hand in a table saw 11/27. He underwent surgery on the ring finger, which was nearly amputated, 12/2. When the hand was unwrapped in the follow-up appointment on 12/6, it was decided that we should delay our travel...to allow time for healing.

The good news is that all three fingers will be saved (speaking non-theologically!). For this, we are extremely grateful. We expect the stitches to be removed 12/20. So we should be "good to go" by 1/4.
